Haiti 11/10 A CHOICE BETWEEN the Past And the Future!

Serious development in Haiti politics: The status quo with politicians such as Mr. Jacques E. Alexis, Mr. Yvon Neptune (both former Primer Minister of Preval & Aristide)...and "new and young political figures" will discuss the future of Haiti and its people.
In the meantime, more than 1 million victims of the earth quake are still leaving on the street and other empty public and private fields in PPce, Haiti under the watch of President Preval seven months after!

On 11/28/10, Haitians will have to choose between the status quo and something else (symbol of hope for the entire country), which will present new figures in Haitian politics probably. Why is this important toward the future of the country? At least this time, the Haitian people will have the opportunity to choose between the status quo and new leaders. Some of you may say that had happened in the past, you are correct; however, in 2010 the government candidates might need to answer some important questions if they want to be elected, which may include corruption charges. In addition to that it appears the Preval's regime and its political party were even unable to find a presidential candidate to balance its eventual opponent from the opposition, which is not even organized as real opposition usually is. Most people in the country acknowledge the incompetence of the leaders and the regroupment in power before and after the earth quake in Haiti. Where do you stand?

Help for million in America!

...Congress has just passed the health care bill with no republican vote. As soon as the President signs it into law; it will become the law of the land! For some the health care bill that passed is not even near what they have been fighting for, but better than the status quo.

For others, it's a government takeover of the health care..., therefore, bad for the country. Finally, most people think this bill will bring an important relief to more than 30 million people who are in dire conditions since they can afford health care because of pre-existing conditions or other reasons. Thus, this bill is a landmark accomplishment for the country and the Obama administration like social security and Medicare.SN.

USA Congress Politics=Me Yes! You No!

Politics are and will stay that way: politics! Nobody needs a PHD to know how to use the established rules in his favor whenever it is necessary and to paint his opponent as devil while trying to take advantage of these same rules. You laugh!
We learn that the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may ask the house to pass the United States health care reform bill by using the self-executing rule, H.R 3595. The House Minority Leader John Boehner calls it "the ultimate in Washington power grabs". His colleague the House Republican Conference chairman Mike Pense, R-Ind., named the option "a betrayal of the commitment of every member of this congress to the American people".
Now let's see how many times this rule had been used in the past either by republicans or democrats:
The self-executing rule started in the 1970s....the 95th-98th Congress (1977-1984 the rule was used eight times, 20 times under Speaker O'Neil in the 199th congress and 18 times under Speaker Wright in the 100th Congress (1995-1998). And under Speaker Hastert just before Nancy Pelosi there were 40 self-executing rules in the 106th Congress, 42 in the 107th Congress and 30 in the 108th Congress (1999-2007). Why politicians in Washington have to hide their own records while advertising their opponents' records? SN.

Haiti:Inadequate Central Government

...Haiti must start implementing other ways to answer "the oproar and inquiries" of its citizens for a better life. If we ever have a better time to implement such demands, it is now. We can follow several steps in this process, however, one of the best ones would be for each Regional Department to look for the best ways to cope with adversities and plan for their future accordingly. Citizens want to see local authorities functions as their representatives, but not as another special envoy of the dysfunctional "republic of Port au Prince" at least not anymore.
People all over the country are surprised to witness how incompetent is the central government...As a result, citizens may take matter into their own hands, which could create a number of other difficult situations. Because of that the international community, particularly, the Unites States and some other neighboring countries need to encourage the rest of the international community to act rapidly. Fortunately for the central government, the international community will not say loudly, at least for now, how unsuitable is that team.
Lastly, the hurricane season is just 3 months away. The rest of the world has no time to waste if it does not want to see more dead bodies, before a central government that is not even able to tell the country weeks after the earthquake of 01/12/10 what its plans are going forward. By the way, do you know why president Rene Preval never formally addresses the nation? SN.
